The question from the audience is if Atma (soul) merges into paramatma (supreme soul), then what is pitra dosha? Also, if a woman has a miscarriage, what happens to that atma?
Pitra dosha is not the dosha of our ancestors. Pitra dosha is your fault. Pitra dosha is that in your life you did not show even a little gratefulness to your ancestors. It is that you could not remember and thank your ancestors even once a year. These ancestors were the mothers, fathers, grand parents, forefathers and so on. Are we that thankless that we don’t remember them even for a moment? How would you feel if your children forget you?

If your children don’t call you on your birthday or anniversary, how bad you would feel. You would be so hurt thinking that you have spent all those years on their upbringing and they don’t even remember your birthday. Pitra dosha is that are we that small that we can’t thank our ancestors?
