My review of Coppertone Sport Clear Transparent Sunscreen SPF 50 - Part 1

What prompted me to make a video review of this Sunscreen was because this morning when I applied it to my face before heading out to the gym, the application along the cheek bone caused my eyes to start stinging and watering.

My brother had complained of the same experience when he used the Sunscreen during a Ski Trip back in March. On that trip, I had found the smell somewhat strong, but the application didn't necessarily sting my eyes. Oh boy. Did I have different experience this morning.

I contacted Coppertone Customer Service (1-800-933-0214) and had a very productive conversation with one of their Agents. She asked me numerous questions and will be sending a prepaid package for me to use to return the bottle of Sunscreen, along with a coupon to get a new bottle of Coppertone.

It's very odd, because I have been using Coppertone Sport Lotion SPF 30 for years and never had any issues with it.
I didn't buy it this time, because it wasn't available in the store and I figured that all Coppertone products should be of equally high quality.

Not in this case unfortunately.
That said, it could just be that this was a "bad batch" of the product and other folks aren't having this issue.
Just in case anyone is interested, the Lot # of the 2 bottles I purchased is : 04422925, with an Expiry Date of : OC202022.

I hope no one else is having this experience.

Other than the Stinging Eyes, the product does apply clear and does feel relatively cool on the skin. The stinging only lasted about 30 seconds to 1 minute or so, and afterwards I barely noticed I was wearing Sunscreen.

It does seem like a relatively small amount of product at 148 ml when compared to the 259 ml of the Coppertone Lotion SPF 30 for the same price.
