Double Crochet Five Together Stitch Tutorial

The Double Crochet 5 Together (dc5tog) is a way of eliminating stitches in your work and to give it shape. It can also be used decoratively in designing! To make a dc5tog, you will work a half-formed double crochet into the five indicated stitches, then complete the stitch by yarning over and pulling through all 6 remaining loops on your hook.

Step By Step Written Instructions:
1. Yarn over (yo), insert your hook into the 1st indicated stitch, yo, pull up a
loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. You’ll have 2 loops left on your hook.
2. Yo, insert your hook into the 2nd indicated stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. You’ll have 3 loops left on your hook.
3. Yo, insert your hook into the 3rd indicated stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. You’ll have 4 loops on your hook.
4: Yo, insert your hook into the 4th indicated stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. You’ll have 5 loops on your hook.
5. Yo, insert your hook into the 5th indicated stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. You’ll have 6 loops on your hook.
6. Yo, pull through all 6 loops on your hook.
