Most experts agree that you should not mention your job search in your LinkedIn profile—especially if you’re employed. Recruiters don’t use terms like job seeker in their searches. So it makes no sense doing that. Another reason: putting “looking for a new opportunity” in your profile makes you look maybe a little desperate.
