In this series on Biblical Anthropology, Dr. Robert Morey discusses the importance of defining man based on what God says he is. Because mankind is created in God's image, we must begin with God in order to make sense of man. It is a common error among humanistic theologians and religions to assume that man is the measure of all things, including God, rather than God being the measure of all things, including man. Once we define man based on God, we learn that just as God chooses according to His nature (truth, justice), man also chooses according to his own nature (sin). Hence, the concept of freewill is a pagan assumption and not a biblical one.
