Luzon to Mindanao Part 16: Tacloban to Sogod, Southern Leyte

Day 4 covers around an Est. 192Km from Tacloban City to Port of Benit in San Ricardo, Southern Leyte, 22 Km of RoRo travel from Port of Benit in San Ricardo to Lipata Port in Surigao & another 9.5Km of drive from Lipata port to Parkway Hotel, AH26, Surigao City where we have spent the night. Left Tacloban at around 0600Hrs, took breakfast at 24H McDonalds Palo to be in San Ricardo at around 0930hrs to catch the 1200Hrs ferry boat but unfortunately, the 1200hrs slot was fully booked so no alternative but to get the next available departure which is at 1600hrs. Spent the time parked under the trees shade on the road, got the ticket at 1330hrs when the ticket window opened, paid all the dues then parked the vehicle inside Benit Port grounds. Took some noodles & boiled eggs at the kiosks at the right side of the port gate then waited for the 1600Hrs time slot.

The 1st segment of Day 4 covers from Zpad Residences in Tacloban City to Agas-Agas Bridge in Sogod, Leyte. Left Tacloban at around 0530Hrs, dropped by Santo Nino Parish in Tacloban, took breakfast at 24H McDonalds Palo before driving for 3+hrs to Port of Benit in San Ricardo, Southern Leyte. Dropped by the Km1000 Marker in Mahaplag for some pics. Missed the rough road going to Agas-Agas Bridge viewpoint 600M before the bridge southbound so stopped on the bridge itself for the pics.
The following towns were passed AH26/ Maharlika Highway southbound direction: Tacloban City, Palo, Tanauan, Tolosa, Dulag, Mayorga, McArthur, Javier, Abuyog, Mahaplag all in the province of Leyte & finally Sogod, Southern Leyte.
