How to become a teacher in UK | QTS process

Degree and Experience in below subjects for 6 to 12th students:
• Maths
• Science
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

9 months or above experience

Documents Required:

ID Proof: passport, birth certificate, National ID

Qualification: Degree Certificate/Consolidated Marksheet
From Institution : National Council for Teacher Education.
You’ll need to provide evidence that EITHER your teaching qualification specifically shows you can teach one of these subjects, OR at least 50% of your university degree was in one of them.

Language Proof: Medium of Instruction (MOI). You can request this from the institution where you studied.

Work Experience:
You’ll need to provide the name and email address of a contact who can confirm that during your professional work experience you:
• worked unsupervised with children aged between 5 and 16 years
• were solely responsible for planning, preparing and delivering lessons to at least 4 students at a time
• were solely responsible for assessing and reporting on the progress of those students
We’ll contact the references you’ve provided to verify your work history before we award QTS.
As a teacher with more than 1 year of professional experience, but less than 2 years, you’ll need to complete a 2-year ‘statutory induction’ period as a newly qualified teacher.
