As modern warfare shifts toward asymmetric threats like low-cost suicide drones and swarm attacks, India has launched Operation Sudarshan Chakra, an AI-integrated Air Defense and Warning System (IADWS). Developed by DRDO, this indigenous ”Capital Dome” is designed to provide point defense for Delhi’s highvalue power centers. Operating in three distinct layers—Detection, Decision (C4I), and Interception—it aim to secure India’s national command center against cruise missiles, drones, and stealth aircraft. However, the division of Delhi into 89 security zones has sparked a debate on whether this is a comprehensive shield or an elite VIP protective layer.
