Pivatic has launched the new servo-electric FLW-e wing bending station for narrow U- and C-profiles. The new servo-electric FLW-e wing bending station helps customers to reduce running and maintenance costs of machines by electricity savings and less maintenance. With a new design to the material handling system, hold-down tooling, and bending tool, the minimum bottom width of the profile could be reduced from 260 mm to 100 mm (10” to 4”). A narrow bottom width with only upward bends is typical for products such as cable trays and construction profiles.

The FLW-e is suitable for standard roll forming products but offers excellent flexibility: the bottom width of the profile is limitlessly adjustable between 100-800 mm (4-31”), and every single part can be of different width in a production batch. In efficiency, FLW-e positions in between a roll former and a panel bender. U-profiles are bent every 12 seconds and C-profiles every 14 seconds.

To reach the highest bending quality, the standard maximum bend height for FLW-e is 60 mm (2.3”), but in special cases, the machine can be designed to handle bend heights up to 110 mm (4.3”). Thanks to material-friendly equipment, pre-painted and stainless steel can be processed, from 0.5 mm material thickness to 1.5 mm (25GA to 16GA). Profile lengths can be up to 3000 mm (118”). FLW-e can be used as a standalone machine with additional stacking/de-stacking equipment for small series, or in a line-type solution for a larger total volume production.
