Change the Image Texture file of Particles

1. Click the plus on the Scene menu at the bottom of the screen
2. Choose Effect
3. Click on the blue diamond shape that appears (inside blue cube with Red Blue Green arrows). This will open an Asset menu to the left specific to that particle/asset
4. Scroll down to effect ID, copy this, then click on Open effect editor below
5. A window will open to the right (or at the bottom, click to expand)
6. Under Particle system-particle, scroll down to Snippet, click Load snippet. A small white popup will appear at the top, here paste the effect ID you copied earlier, click OK
7. You will now be able to see your particle in Effect editor for you to manipulate
8. From the list at the top of the Editor, click the Plus symbol next to Textures, this will show the texture file, click on this, then under Preview image Load texture from file.
9. Now you can select your own image file and once loaded it will appear in the preview with the original effect applied.
10. At this point you can tweak this further, by change the speed, colour and more.
11. When you are finished, under Particle systems, go back to Snippet and this time click Save to snippet server.
12. Again, a small white popup will appear, here COPY the new effect Id generated, click OK.
13. Now paste this new ID in the space ‘paste new Effect ID’ on the left asset menu.
14. The initial effect should now change to your chosen image.
15. Remember to note this effect id you have created in case you want to use it again
16. If you use two of the same effect, make sure to give each a specific name under Asset Name (at the top of left Asset menu) for ease of identification later.
17. Remember your effect will be saved on the server and can be recalled at any time if you have the ID saved. Also, before saving a snippet to the server, make all needed adjustments. This avoids having many identical effects.
