How We Make Labradorite Free-Form Carvings

Описание к видео How We Make Labradorite Free-Form Carvings

Our Labradorite comes from the south of Madagascar, an area with the highest concentration of the material in the world, which produces amazing high-flash material. Also known as Spectrolite, due to the many brilliant colors of flash (called the Schiller Effect), Labradorite requires specialized cutting techniques to properly reveal the crystals within each stone.

That's where our skilled carvers come in. Our Malagasy team takes solid chunks of Labradorite and transform them into breathtaking works of art. Many of them have been with us since we started in the early 90s, perfecting their technique every day.

We also offer Labradorite in rough forms in a variety of qualities (cabochon-grade, block rough, gem decor rough) in any quantity. To order, please see www.madagascarminerals.com, call 520-882-8884 or email [email protected].
