Assessments Update for the Activate Learning Digital Platform.

Описание к видео Assessments Update for the Activate Learning Digital Platform.

Activate Learning has added updated assessments to our digital platform.
Each unit provides pre-built Assessments that can be found in appropriate lessons, after the activities.

In some products, assessments are provided in two formats: Constructed Response and Multiple Choice. Constructed Response asks students to write their own answers in response to a question. Multiple Choice provides the assessment in multiple choice format, asking students to select an answer from a list of options. You may choose the version of the assessment that best suits your classroom needs.
To assign an Assessment, open the Assign/Assess menu in the left sidebar, then select Manage Assign/Assess.
Here, click the Create Assignment button. When the Assign box opens, choose "Assign Assessment." In the resulting window, select the Class or Classes you’d like to receive the assignment, then select the lesson and the Assessment you’d like to assign.

Once you click Review Assignment and submit, your assessment can be started whenever you’re ready. Students won’t see the assessment until you start it. If the Start/Stop toggle is red, the assessment is not active. Click the toggle to start the assessment - you’ll see the color change to green. That means the assessment is started. Once you’ve started the assessment, it will show up in the student dashboard. Students will be blocked from viewing any content other than the assessment until the assessment has been submitted by the student or stopped by the teacher. When finished completing the assessment, students will click the Turn This In button to show that they’ve completed the assessment. Once they submit, the assessment is locked, and access to other activities is restored.

On the "Manage Assign/Assess" screen, teachers can see how many students have submitted the Assessment. When ready, click the toggle to stop the assessment. and decide when to stop it. This will stop the test and turn in all student work that’s not yet submitted. Teachers can see a count of how many students submitted at least some work.

You can click the link to go directly to the "Grade By Student" section and view student work. Under "Grade By Student," a crossed-out Red bell means no answers were entered at all. An orange bell means the student has submitted work. The bell will change to a green thumbs up once you’ve graded the student’s work. As always, teachers can choose to grade by student, or select the option in the left menu to grade by question.

When grading, notes for teachers appear under each question to provide correct answers and/or guidelines for assessing responses.

The updated interface makes assigning assessments as quick and easy as working with activities and readings.
