Panic at Marathon

Part 1: The Battle of Marathon, fought in 490BC.
The Athenians believed the God “Pan” helped them defeat the Persians, thus the origins of the English word ”panic”. 
I tour 4 major battle sites of the Greek-Persian wars in one day!
Please excuse my mispronunciation of Greek names, and places.

My driver, Christos was very informative and we stopped for lunch at a seaside restaurant in a village between Marathon and Thermopylae. We also visited the wonderful Archaeological Museum of Thebes. This was a very memorable day!!
