Weeks after India vs Bharat debate intensified between BJP and opposition bloc INDIA, NCERT committee recommendation stoked controversy. "NCERT panel has recommended replacing 'India' with 'Bharat' in school textbooks," said Committee chairman CI Issac to ANI. However, NCERT has clarified that it is too premature to comment on the concerned issue as development of new syllabus and textbooks is in the process.
