Beethoven's 9th and last Symphony is “the culmination of Beethoven’s genius,” says Beethoven expert, John Suchet. In the Finale Beethoven set to music Schiller's "Ode to Joy". Schiller's poem expresses thoughts of freedom, fellowship and unity. For example, "Alle Menschen werden Brüder" (all people become brothers), "Eines Freundes Freund zu sein" (to be the friend's friend) and "Seid umschlungen, millionen!" (be embraced, millions!).

Beethoven's music reaches far beyond this poem, it's accessible without being ordinary. Beethoven's music is timeless and ageless. His music is for everyone, this was his lifelong mission, to bring music to everybody.

The miniature violin and piano have brought me lots of joy! It's like Schiller said, "Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Götterfunken!" (Joy, beautiful spark of gods, spark of gods!).
