The DC5X series are discreet, elegant 40mm chronographs powered by the Swiss Valjoux 7750 movement with a 60-minute stopwatch and a 12-hour totalizer function. Developed in 1973, the tried and tested Valjoux 7750 is a high precision movement built into watches to this day and is among the most successful modern mechanical chronograph calibres in Swiss watch history.

The DC5X's bead-blasted case is made from Damakso's special patented ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel. This steel offers good corrosion resistance, and can be tempered up to 64 HRC/800Vickers which is four times the hardness of every other steel currently used in the watch industry. And this ice-hardened steel is used for the entire case, bezel, crown and pushers.

All stainless steel components are treated with an abrasion-proof black patented DAMEST Coating providing extreme resistance to scratches.

The watch is powered by a 25 jewel Swiss Valjoux 7750 TOP movement with 48 hour power reserve. This automatic chronograph movement is specially regulated and tested by Damasko to high precision. It is shockproof according to DIN 8308 and has the classic Valjoux arrangement with a 12-hour counter and 30-minute counter on sub-dials and a central 60-second counter.
