How To Choose an Overdrive (Or Distortion) Pedal

Choosing overdrive pedals can be a tricky thing (the same can be said of distortions). There are quite a few different things to consider, and a whole plethora of pedals to choose from. It seems everyone is making overdrives these days. And you can spend anything between $20 and $2000 on one. It's insane.

At the same time these little (or big, they come in different sizes) can make our rhythms crunchy, and our leads scream. For some off us they are absolutely integral to our sound.
