Two lovebirds from different walks of life prove that love is blind. However, love isn’t deaf, and sometimes it’s hard to feel the love when your families won't stop shouting at each other.

Mary West comes from a family of 6 live in a cramped trailer in Oasis Springs. They’re all wacky and colourful but have a tendency to be a little irritating, especially where Mary’s hot headed father and mischievous younger brother are concerned.

On the flip side, Noah Henderson comes from a wealthy family who prefer the finer things in life. His parents are both stubborn and stern, often arguing with Mary’s parents. Noah’s brother and younger sister try their best with Mary’s family, but, as their parents have instilled in them for years, “always see the worst in others to find the best in yourselves”.

In choosing a destination wedding, Mary and Noah wanted neutral ground on an island in Sulani so that their families didn’t get to decide. However, now that the day is approaching, everyone has a different idea. The West’s want a simple but fun wedding that won’t bankrupt them but also involves more of a celebration. On the other hand, the Henderson’s want a fabulously decadent spectacle. Hey, they can afford it, so why not show off their wealth?

With the stress of the arguing ruining Mary’s big day, she starts to have doubts about whether her and Noah are right for each other. But Noah’s dedication to creating peace between two rival parties is exactly why he became a lawyer.

In planning their big day, Noah realises that the wedding can incorporate all the things that make each family member special. Noah’s mother is a fabulous cook, whilst Mary’s mother can bake peanut butter cookies better than anyone. Mary’s father has been building his own furniture for years and so will be able to provide his own craftsmanship to the wedding without paying for any furniture. Noah’s siblings are talented entertainers, whilst Mary’s younger brother is a budding photographer. Throw in some expensive decorations and a few fun activities, Mary and Noah’s wedding is sure to be one to remember.

It just goes to show that combining and celebrating what makes us different is a perfect marriage.
