Siv Jakobsen - Small | A Take Away Show

We took the norwegian indie-folk ambassador to the seafront of Brighton after her London gig last November. On this new Take Away Show, ‪@sivjakobsenmusic‬ sings a gorgeous and melancholic melody with such a delicacy your heart might melt. The ethereal instrumentation of the album version - kaleidoscopic backing vocals, doubled guitars, upright bass, cello - is replaced in this session by the wind rustling through the trees, waves & seabirds in the distance. 'Hold on, they say / Be strong, okay'. Taken from a collection of songs that she describes as her most vulnerable ever, 'Small' is the kind of track that make you feel less alone and seen. 'And now, I wear the bedspread like a cape'. Instead Siv put on a rainbow wool pull-over with seems as comfy as her song.
