Hey guys, super pleased to be back with another WORLD RECORD speedrun! ⏱️

The name of the game for this mission is to subvert the GDI defenses and reinforcements: You can use the Subway network to move your infantry around and behind the GDI defenses; and you can shoot the incoming reinforcements down, which spawn above your base.

The Subway network is an excellent way to move your infantry behind the GDI defenses, however the exits are vulnerable to enemy attack (once the hub is captured) and the closest entrance at the South is gaurded by several GDI Grenadier units.

Additonally, the Air Transports spawn quickly and require a short-term investment in units that result in poor economy and are extremely vulnerable to the GDI arsenal.

So we do neither of these things.

After some experimentaion I discovered that it's actually faster to use Shadow Teams to glide past the frontal defenses and take out the enemy power and structures. We then simply use the initial Black Hand squad to take out the power for the closer GDI defenses and make short work of the Western Secondary Objectives. The Subway network can be utilized as cover for the Shadow Teams if required, when it is captured.

An MCV is also required to build a turret for the other Secondary Objective. This must be produced from the war factory and may be used to defeat the large force in the middle of the map in conjunction with garrisoned buildings.

At around the 2m30 mark the mission generously grants us two Flame Tanks. We stealth them and send them to the North-West to dispatch the GDI base, subverting their defenses! We then just use the Shadow Teams to drop some damage and kill some units whilst the Flame Tanks finish the job.

Job done!

I have considered whether a large force of Shadow Units can be used to destroy the bulk of the objectives at the negelect of economy. Maybe I'll try that on this video's release date, when I finally have a day off!

It would be interesting if not faster. I guess you guys can look forward to that video soon!
