Applegate Jade (Bowenite) - Rockhounding and Jewelry

In this adventure I go on a rockhounding trip to the Applegate river to hunt for a gem rock which is a type of serpentine called bowenite and also known locally as "Applegate Jade" or generally as "New Jade". Then I take some back to the shop, cut it and make polished jewelry.

Greetings dear viewers. We will be focused on survival bushcraft, back country adventures, overlanding, camping, outdoor cooking, trout fishing, rock hounding, prospecting, wildcraft, edible plants, beach combing, making jewelry and some local points of interest in the pacific northwest area.

This is a general purpose outdoors channel where we will be exploring everything from historic mining sites and ghost towns to wild mushroom patches, botanical areas and mountain country as we travel Bigfoot's back yard in southern Oregon and northern California in search of natural beauty.
