Leah Remini, born Leah Marie Remini on June 15, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, is an Italian American actress best known for her role as Carrie Heffernan on the hit sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007). Raised in a working-class family, her Italian heritage stems from her father’s Sicilian roots. She began her acting career in the late 1980s, making her television debut in Who's the Boss? and later appearing in over 50 TV shows. Her film credits include *Old School*, *Second Act*, and *Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie*. Beyond acting, Leah is known for her activism, especially her outspoken stance against Scientology, which she detailed in her memoir, *Troublemaker*. She has one daughter, Sofia, from her marriage to actor Angelo Pagan. With her sharp humor and resilience, Leah remains a beloved figure in entertainment and an advocate for truth and justice.
