On August 18, 2020, Bethesda will take the Fallout 76 servers offline to apply an update (hot fix) to the existing playable world. This update will correct issues that were created when Update 21 was released on August 4 and subsequently, a hot fix patched into the servers later to address quest problems.


Bethesda aims to address the issues they currently have with some of their quests such as, “An Ounce of Prevention” and a few other quests.


Bethesda also plans to release the event, “A Colossal Problem” and this event will be available once the servers come back online to PC players… Only. Bethesda, plans to release this very same patch for Xbox and Playstation later in the week. If I had to wager a guess, they will release the patch on Thursday August 20 as tech’s really do not want to be fixing stuff over the weekend and they’ll have Friday to revert if they need to.
