We traded in our snowblower and winter boots for shorts and flip-flops! 🏖️🩴

Join us chicos today as we head out early in the morning to release some baby turtles here on the Oaxacan coast with our dear friend Gina. 🐢🐢🐢🐢
We meet up with our dear friend Gina, whom we met a few days ago while out on our bikes.
As it turns out, she does walking tours and releases baby turtle tours here in Puerto.
What an opportunity to go out onto the beach and release some babies into the sea. They have many predators that await them as they make there way to the open ocean; even out at sea, they are pray for many fish as well. Gina says they are the cookie; haha, she is one great lady, and she really knows her stuff. If you want to reach out to her, drop us an email, and we will gladly share her WhatsApp # with you. Now this took much longer than we had expected; you would think they just pop out and run to the ocean; that is not always the case, though.

We are 2 Canadians that sold everything and moved to Mexico on October 14th, 2021
We packed up 3 suitcases each with our then 12-year-old Maltese & hopped on a plane for Cancun. ✈️🏖️🩴

We moved to Mexico for a slower pace and a healthier lifestyle, under the sun in the sand & palm trees!!
Making new friends and experiencing a new culture and language.

We started our journey looking in the Progreso area of the Yucatan, using a realtor.
Update: We ended up living in Merida for the first 6 months, then we moved to Progreso.
Update: We then moved to Chicxulub, then back to Merida.
We then moved Coatepec, then to Xalapa Veracruz; we are now on the Oaxacan coastline, chicos.✌🏽 Next stop will be Metepec, a town just east of Mexico city, then we head to Cancun for the winter of 2025/26
Hope to see you in Cancun on the white sandy beaches of the Caribbean ocean. 🌊🏖️

You can join us as we travel around Mexico, staying at each location for approximately one year; this way we can fully explore the area. It will also keep our content fresh and exciting for us all, chicos. ✌🏽🎉🎊
