Yale University Naval, Air Force and Army ROTC President’s Review 2024, April 18, 2024

Watch Yale’s Midshipmen and Cadets as they parade in full uniform at the annual President’s Review on Thursday, April 18 in the John J. Lee Amphitheater of Payne Whitney Gymnasium.
 
Yale President Peter Salovey serves as the “reviewing officer” at the event, inspecting the officers-in-training as a Commanding Officer would do in a traditional military review. The Midshipmen and Cadets, in turn, salute the president.
 
Captain William Johnson, Commanding Officer of the university’s Naval ROTC Unit, and Colonel Les Oberg, Commander of the Air Force ROTC Detachment at Yale, also attend the ceremony, which brings together presidents and military liaisons from area colleges and universities, family members and friends of the Midshipmen and Cadets, and members of the Yale community. A number of awards are presented to the Midshipmen and Cadets for their performance during the 2023-2024 academic year. This year’s ceremony marks President Salovey’s final Review.
