Rita Ackermann was born 19 April 1968, she is a Hungarian American artist. She is currently living and working in New York City.

Ackermann's career has spanned over three decades and an array of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, fashion design, performance, as well as other mediums. She has been the subject of and featured in multiple institutional and gallery solo and group exhibitions across the world, and her work is held in prominent public collections, including Dallas Museum of Contemporary Art, Sittard in Netherlands, North Miami, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, The Zabludowicz Collection, London, UK, and others.
