Crossing into Mexico with a van and a dog should be straightforward… but for us, it almost wasn’t.

We did our research.
We read forums.
We listened to advice online.

And still, at the border... things didn’t go as planned.

In this video, we take you with us as we cross from the U.S. into Mexico, walk through the immigration process, deal with missing documents, confusing advice, and learn the hard way what actually matters when you arrive at the border.

If you’re planning to cross into Mexico with a van, an RV, or a dog — especially if you’re continuing beyond Baja — this is the video we wish we had watched first.

What they actually asked us for at the border 👇 (Based on our personal experience)
FMM (Mexican Tourist Visa): Passports + payment (you can pay by card)
TIP (Vehicle Permit – for travel outside Baja): Vehicle registration
Chasey (our dog): Nothing was checked
Food / groceries: Nothing was checked
