Another 2022 Housing Crash WARNING: Rental Rates are starting to Drop in Cities across America.

The most notable example is in Sarasota/North Port, Florida, where the typical Rent in the Market (data from Zillow) is down by 4% to start 2022. This is after rents in Sarasota skyrocketed by over 30% in 2021 (as they did throughout much of Florida).

Declining or stagnating rents is a big problem for the 2022 Housing Market. Because it means that real estate investors are going to have a difficult time making a profit on the crazy prices they paid for homes in the Housing Bubble.

Seattle, Portland, and other Cities in the Pacific Northwest are also experiencing stagnating rents according to data from Apartmentlist.com. King County in Seattle and Multnomah County in Portland have experienced rent declines from October 2021 to April 2022. As have markets like Eugene (Oregon), Reno (Nevada), and Sacramento (California).

But not all markets are experiencing stagnating rents. Housing Markets in Dallas and Miami have seen strong rent growth over the last 6 Months, indicating that investors in these markets are still doing well and that the Housing Bubble still has time before it turns into a Housing Crash.
