Before coming to Monash, Olivia studied a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Guizhou Institute in China. After noticing the opportunities available to bilingual scholars, decided to study a Master of Communication and Media Studies at Monash. Olivia’s ability to liaise with both English and Mandarin speakers allowed her to secure an exciting role as East meets West Engagement Lead with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, where she combines her communication skills with her knowledge of music performance.
