In their ongoing commitment to give back to the community and to the support of worthy causes, American Pension Services is excited to announce their donation to Salt Lake City's annual Festival of Trees celebration, to benefit Primary Children's Hospital.

"Instead of hosting a formal Christmas party, we decided to pare down the celebration and allocate resources to creating a holiday wreath for donation to the Festival of Trees charitable auction."

Carried out and designed by American Pension Services team members, American Pension Services' wreath is a rustic Christmas classic composed of numerous oversized jingle bells, thick winter greenery, and faint twinkle lights. The wreath display will be punctuated with a retro classic marque style lighted arrow sign pointing to Santa's Village! Whoever snatches the winning bid will certainly enjoy the faint click clack of jingle bells each time loved ones come and go.

One-hundred percent of funds raised at the Festival of Trees benefits children cared for at Primary Children's Hospital.

American Pension Services also recently sponsored a local Boy Scout troop in the assembly of women's shelter hygiene kits. Intended to meet the fundamental needs of those seeking refuge in the Salt Lake City Women's Shelter, each hygiene kit contained toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hand cream, lip balm, dental floss, soap, a hand towel, snacks, hair ties, anti-bacterial wipes, and other basic hygiene tools.

Actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America organization, Curtis L. DeYoung, American Pension Services Founder, President, and CEO notes, "American Pension provided the contents; the Scouts spent the evening on assembly, and delivery, and topped off the night with a pizza party!" Over the last 30 plus years American Pension Services has sponsored countless worthy causes including local schools, athletic clubs, and other community organizations. One cause particularly close to APS is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. For the past three years APS has sponsored Stella's Shining Stars in the local JDRF walk/run to help raise money for juvenile diabetes. To commemorate their 30th anniversary American Pension Services established and sponsored the creation the American Pension Services Cycling Team. The primary objective of the APS Cycling Team to ride for worthy causes riding in among others, the Huntsman 140 to support cancer research.

The recipient of the 1997 Draper City Citizen of the Year Award, the 2000 Draper City Volunteer of the Year Award, and the Founder/former Director of the Draper Community Foundation and an active participant in the Boy Scouts of America organization, American Pension Services' Curtis L. DeYoung embodies APS' commitment to community.
