Who wants to summit a 6,240m or 20,473ft mountain? No volunteers in this case so I set out on my own with a two-bit map and a lot of desire. Even though it was September in lovely Ladakh, it was already snowy and cold above 5K meters, plus a glacier added a serious chill to the air. But these were easy compared to the lack of good old oxygen.
