Acrylics: which colors to buy? Basic palette examples.

Here are the colors I used in this video. Please keep in mind: this is only a suggestion to help you get started. There are no rules and everyone has his own preferences. With color mixing there are many ways to get the same results. Always feel free to experiment.

Black and white only: a great way to start painting is practicing with only black (ivory or oxide for example) and titanium white!

Primary colors: primary yellow, magenta and cyan + black (ivory or oxide for example) and titanium white.
Useful for absolute beginners. With these colors you can study color theory. Downside of this color set: often it will take longer to reach a certain color (because most colors in real life consist of a mixture of these three colors).

Palette with more colors: primary yellow (or cadmium yellow light), pyrrole red, primary magenta, ultramarine blue, cyan (or phtalo blue), burnt umber, black (ivory or oxide for example) and titanium white.
