This system is based on an Ingersoll Rand 8255 Self Feed Drill and uses a custom built external peck feed control box to allow this drill to safely and efficiently drill deep holes. The peck feed operation facilitates this capability by periodically retracting and removing chips of material at intervals throughout the drilling depth.
