Marugame Castle (丸亀城, Marugame-jō) is a historic castle located in Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was originally constructed by Ikoma Chikamasa in 1597 and is one of the twelve original wooden castles remaining in Japan. Marugame Castle is particularly renowned for its towering stone walls, which reach a height of 60 meters, making them some of the highest in Japan. These walls are noted for their impressive construction and durability, showcasing the advanced building techniques of the time.

The castle's main keep (tenshu) is relatively small, with only three stories, but it is situated atop a hill, offering stunning panoramic views of Marugame City and the Seto Inland Sea. The castle grounds also feature several yagura (turrets) and gates that exemplify the military architecture of the Edo period.

Each spring, Marugame Castle is surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms, attracting numerous visitors for hanami (flower viewing). Additionally, Marugame Castle Park is a popular spot for locals, hosting various events and festivals throughout the year.
