Set in a small town on the New Jersey Shore in the 1950s, two Italian immigrant brothers, Primo (Tony Shalhoub) and Secondo (Stanley Tucci) from Abruzzo struggle to Americanize themselves and their restaurant. Secondo is more willing to adapt; Primo finds his uncle's offer for them both to return to Rome to help with his restaurant more and more appealing.
