A village hotel with food like no other in Pakistan | Mutton Gorkon | Osho Thang Hotel, Minapin

Osho Thang is located in Nagar. Each room features a television, room service, We had heard about the Gorkon karahi at Osho Thang & were keen to try it. We were wowed by the whole experience & carried the flavour of the experience on the rest of the trip. We ordered Gorkon in mutton & boneless chicken & both were a super hit. Quite unlike anything we had tasted, ever! The pots also have something to do with it, I am sure. We had pre ordered enroute so didn't have to wait long. Our table was laid out in the garden, very tastefully done, with wildflowers in the vase & a pretty cloth tablecloth! Felt like we were in some vineyard in Italy, but only better! There were efficient waiters just waiting for instructions (on hand). Mr Israr met us & very kindly opened a room for us to use the facilities. Everything was neat & clean & tasteful (keeping the environment & ambience in mind). We were offered complimentary rose tea at the end of the meal, which was quite unlike anything we had tried (speciality of Minapin & the Gulkand is available only here). We promptly bought 2 jars (kind courtesy of the waiter who ran to the village to buy for us). So, to backtrack a bit, when we were heading back from Hunza to Gilgit, Osho Thang was on everyone's wish list...again, Mr Israr was away for the day but he very kindly processed our order & we had our table waiting...thank you ever so much for such a wonderful experience! The road to Minapin is smooth, metalled & very scenic...must be on everyone's 'must visit' list. We have Maham of Riverdale Resort to thank for suggesting it.
