Описание к видео Glowlight Tetra Care & Tank Set up Guide

Glowlight Tetra is an peaceful freshwater aquarium fish native to Essequibo River, Guyana, South America. These fish grow between 1.5 to 2 inches in an aquarium. Natural habitat includes biotopes, found primarily in forested areas, in tributaries off the main river channel. The water here is typically stained a dark brown with tannins from decaying organic material and is often highly acidic as a result.
Scientific name - Hemigrammus erythrozonus
The common name Glowlight tetra is due to bright iridescent orange to red stripe extends from the snout to the base of its tail, the front of the dorsal fin being the same color as the stripe.
Glow light Tetra aquarium care -
The best type of aquarium would be a planted tank or bio-tope with compatible tank mates.
Tank size - a 15 gallon aquarium would be great for about 8 to 10 Glow light Tetras.
Decoration of aquarium for glow light Tetras would be floating plants, driftwood, live rooted plants or rhizomes. With a dark substrate. I feel they look great when added to a planted tank with neon tetras, the contrast of colors are striking.
Water parameters for Glow light tetra fish -

How to breed glow light tetra?
This will be the first time breeding glowlight tetra. I know the process will be the same as breeding any Tetra. You’ll need to set up a separate tank which is dimly lit, use plants such as java moss or spawning mops, to give the fish somewhere to deposit their eggs.Water should be soft and acidic in the range pH 5.5-6.5, gH 1-5, with a temperature of around 80-84°F.
Introduce male & female to aquarium, once they spawn & lay eggs remove the adults. Eggs will hatch in 24-36 hours, with the fry becoming free swimming a 3-4 days later.
