Hip Dysplasia in Dogs

Описание к видео Hip Dysplasia in Dogs

Hip dysplasia is one of the most common skeletal diseases seen in dogs. It is a lifelong condition affecting the hip joint and contributes to the development of other conditions such as osteoarthritis. Tiggy was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis at 8 months of age.

We started treating Tiggy at 8 months of age when she couldn't jump at all. We used pain medications, joint supplements or nutraceuticals, Pentosan polysulphate injections, acupuncture, laser therapy and physical rehabilitation which included neuromuscular electrical stimulation and therapeutic exercises.
