Boeing CEO David Calhoun Apologises to Families of Plane Crash Victims | Firstpost America

Boeing CEO David Calhoun has apologised to the families of the victims of two plane crashes, which occurred in 2018 and 2019 and killed 346 people. The crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia had one common link- Boeing's 737 Max planes, which were later found to have faulty flight control systems. Calhoun apologised to the families before testifying during a special Senate hearing on Tuesday. However, the victims' relatives were unimpressed as they wanted the US government to charge Calhoun with manslaughter. They have also demanded a compensation of nearly $25 billion from Boeing. Calhoun took over as Boeing's CEO after the crashes and is planning to resign later this year.
