Sitakunda directly from any bus station or train station in Dhaka. Rent 400-450, Rent from Sitakund Bazar, Autorickshaw, under Chandranath, charges Rs. 20 per person. Stay on the Kacha road and get up in 1.5 hours More.

Sitakunda of Chittagong district, popularly known as the pilgrimage place of Hindu religion in Bangladesh. Not only this, this place is still ahead of attracting tourists. Especially the amazing natural beauty of Sitakund is able to accommodate any traveler. And like that

Chandranath hill is one of the most tourist attractions of Sitakunda.

The Chandranath hill is located just 4 kilometers east of Sitakunda Bazar. It is a tradition that a Nepalese king got the order to set up Shiva temple in five places of the world in sleeping. Having received orders in the dream, the king of Nepal established five Shivmandir in five places of the world.

These are: Pashupatinath of Nepal, Viswanath in Kashi, Bhutanath in Pakistan, Adinath of Maheshkhali and Chandranath temple of Sitakunda.

As far as it is known from the various scriptures and history, Mahamuni Vargab lived in ancient times. Ramchandra, son of Dasharath, king of Ayodhya, came to this place during his stay. Ramchandra, son of Mahamuni Vargab king Dasaratha, will come to know about their bath here

Three trunks were created. His wife Sita came along with Ramchandra. Ramchandra's wife Sita had a bath in this trunk and hence the name of this place is Sitakunda..
