Twentieth Century Nicoville presents an new production with the Cartoon Company. This is their rendition of what I firmly believe, is the best introduction to a very dark and controversial Disney movie, and yes. This is the first ever Disney/Cartoon Company crossover that had to do with music. Victor Hugo’s Norte-Dame de Paris May have been lost in purpose in history, but the spirit of it lives on in the 1996 Disney film Hunchback of Norte Dame. While the Hugo novel was practically a book on preservation of the Notre Dame Cathedral, later adaptations made it to be a story of justice and Church corruption. In Disney’s version it becomes more of an “ugly duckling” story. However, the spirit does live on with a gargantuan opening that puts any other film opener to shame. The sounds of bells ringing, French waltzes and the church choir singing a glorious rendition of the Gregorian chant “Dies Irae”. As this is an ensemble cast, we are proud to present this wonderful cast of characters:
