LIlly K Tribute to a Young Dancer who survived Brain Cancer! What's Up Cover!

This music video to our What's Up cover features Lilly K and Angelina Bella and is dedicated to a young 12-year-old incredible dancer (Renee Bergeron) known by many in the dance competition circuit. In October of 2018, Renee had suffered a brain tumor which was diagnosed as malignant. After her first surgery the doctors were unable to remove the whole tumor so Renee had to return for a second surgery in November. After her second surgery with St. Jude’s, the tumor was finally completely removed. The next couple of weeks were crucial. As time went by Renee started recovering more and more each week. Being so popular in the dance world, Stacey Ketchman mother of Dance Moms dancer Lilly K had mentioned the story because she did know Renee from the competitions and followed the story on social media, but didn’t really know the full details. We decided to call Renee’s mom Rachael. At this time, we were in pre-production of filming a music video. We reached out to Rachael to see how Renee was doing and after finding out she was recovering and getting stronger by the day we decided to ask if she would mind if we filmed our next video in dedication to Renee. She couldn’t thank us enough.
We started to plan this amazing video of Renee’s journey to recovery and came up with a story line. We actually started the journey from the hospital bed before her second surgery, back to waking up in the bed after the surgery after the dream.

Storyline:
Renee, played by Lilly, is in the hospital and her friend Angelina is there to visit. Angelina sees how sick her friend is and starts getting nervous because she can’t do anything for her. So, she starts singing to her and asking God what’s going on, why does it have to be her, why isn’t anyone helping. Lilly falls into a deep sleep. Angelina falls asleep at her bedside. The disease (Dancers in black) starts attacking Lilly and she tries to fight them off as the doctors start to remove the tumor. Angelina is fighting and trying to pull her away. Finally, Angelina pulls Lilly out of the disease at the same time the doctors remove the remaining tumor from the brain. The disease is removed. Lilly all of a sudden is in the brightest room of the National Dance Museum and breaks out into a beautiful dance while her friend Angelina starts to open up her vocal chords in joy. Lilly can’t see Angelina in her dream but she can hear her. Angelina can see Lilly but doesn’t understand why Lilly can’t see her or she can’t feel her when she tries to touch her.. The girls dance & sing in victory but strangely can’t figure out it’s a dream. They wake up in the bed after surgery. Lilly is all smiles Angelina hugs her friend and the road to recovery begins.
