Dynasty Warriors 2 - The Battle of Chang Ban | Zhao Yun Musou Mode 3

Shu's third battle is Chang Ban. Unlike the later Chang Ban stages, the objective isn't to let Liu Bei escape. We have to defeat Cao Cao no matter what. However, we are at a severe disadvantage by being surrounded by enemies. So at least for now, we are still trying to get Liu Bei out of danger.

As Zhao Yun we start with the enemy right in front of us so take out everyone you see. This will help your allies in the center and build up morale for them. Remember to use them to fight enemies by luring them further in, if they ever start to give you trouble. Once the center forces are dealt with, Cao Cao's main force will most likely appear. Your allies will head straight to Liu Bei after that, but you can stay behind and deal a number on Cao Cao's sub officers to lower morale. Just don't let Liu Bei struggle too much.

That being said, Liu Bei will probably be fine on his own since your allies will rush to help him. The main reason you'll want to go to him is just to defeat the officers around him yourself so that you get the EXP and the item drops. Once he's cleared of any enemies around him, he'll wait at the northeast part of the map until Liu Qi's MASSIVE reinforcements appear. Then Liu Bei will order his army to attack, now with a huge morale advantage.

At that point, whatever's left of Cao Cao's army will offer little resistance so you can just tear through them. Make sure to defeat Xiahou En, one of Cao Cao's sub officers. He drops a +10 Atk sword, which is a very nice boost to your damage. After that just take out the commander himself and you win.
