The Knock Sensor Signal Voltage Circuit is a specialized sound microphone tunes to the specific frequency of an engine knock. It is screwd at the engine block for better pick up performance.

Seen here is an actual knock sensor circuit. TO the left we can see the triangle symbol for the ECM microprocessor, then at the top
