Nintendo Wii u Repair - ZR Button

The issue with the Wii U Gamepad was that the ZR button when depressed, sometimes did not release, you would physically have to lift the button up with your finger nail. Upon inspection of the Gamepad (not shown in this video), I noticed that not only was the ZR button was broken at its pivot, but the component that it clipped to was also broken. Both the ZR Button and the Button Casing needed to be replaced.
This video demonstrates how to safely remove the broken components and replace them.


Replacement components costs approximately $20 Canadian.
Delivery time approximately 5 weeks from China. Sad, I know.

Note: Nintendo Support will likely repair your device. The cost is approximately $100 USD plus shipping. They’ll likely have the Gamepad returned to you within 3-4 weeks.
