Check out part 9 of my Indie playthrough featuring the game Rain On Your Parade! This game released on the Xbox One and Xbox Series family of consoles on April 15th, 2021. It was developed and published by Unbound Creations.

In this video, Cloudy finally reaches the fabled land of Seattle and has to defend it from Dr. Dryspell's minions.

Rain On Your Parade is funny and adorable puzzle indie game that put's the player in control of a mischievous cloud (aptly named Cloudy) made out of cardboard who is on a journey to the fabled land of Seattle where clouds can roam free. Along the way, Cloudy makes new friends and enemies and he does his best to either help them or thwart their evil plans. You see, Cloudy loves to ruin people's day in any way possible and he does this with some of the powers that he has: rain, snow, lightning and his handy tornado. Helping Cloudy to achieve his dream of being free to rain on anyone he wants in Seattle is of utmost importance, however, it's also important to have a little bit of fun along the way!

Cloudy's journey to Seattle spans across 50 wacky and interesting levels where he has to complete various objectives that range from realistic to ridiculous (such as growing trees with his magical rain and ruining a wedding or a birthday party by setting the presents on fire). Most of the levels are fairly random in terms of their theme, however, some are related to some of the friends/enemies Cloudy meets along this journey. Either way Cloudy is up for the challenge with the various abilities that he gains along the way. Cloudy starts off with his rain ability and gradually becomes more powerful by obtaining the lightning, snow and tornado abilities. Certain levels also add a different element to Cloudy's abilities, such as changing the rain ability to coal, acid rain or even meteors! I have to say that the concept here is very unique, funny and really cool. The 3 to 4 hours that it takes to complete the game is filled with a lot of fun and hilarity (and quite a few Easter Eggs!!).

The controls here are very simple to learn, however, can be a little difficult to master depending on the levels you're playing through or the achievements you are trying to complete. The player controls Cloudy with the left stick and uses the face buttons (A, B, X and Y) to use Cloudy's various abilities. The achievements here are quite varied and while most of them are fairly easy, there are a few that may take some grinding and more than a few attempts (as they are highly dependent on skill). I did end up completing all of them, however, there were a few that I had to work on after the recording of this playthrough (you can grab most of them by following this walkthrough series). There's a total of 22 achievements, so I am not going to list out all of them, however, I will add that only 5 of them are story related, while the rest are awarded for either perfect runs or playing through some of the levels in specific ways.
