How to Replace LS Starter on Firebird | Trans Am | Camaro | Fbody. The starter in my 2001 Pontiac Trans Am keeps trying to start after engine has started. Its making a terrible sound and I suspect the starter solenoid has failed. I bought an AC Delco starter part number 88878285 aka 3371115. This install is easy and shouldn't take very long.
