Historical background:

Jacek Lachowicz is a Polish musician, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and composer, born on November 15, 1972, in Płock, Poland. He is an alumnus of the Instrumental Faculty of the Higher School of Music in Gdańsk, where he studied piano.

Lachowicz was a member of the band Ścianka from 1996, participating in the recording of their albums like "Statek Kosmiczny", "Dni Wiatru", . After leaving the band, he began releasing music under his own name.

In 2004, Lachowicz released his first solo album, titled "Jacek Lachowicz". The album featured gentle, delicate sounds with a touch of psychedelia. Lachowicz played all the instruments on the album and used a sample from a PJ Harvey song in the track "Biegnę".

He also contributed to the recording of the album "Uwaga! Jedzie tramwaj" by Lenny Valentino, which won a Fryderyk award for Best Alternative Album of 2001.

Lachowicz collaborated with Andrzej Smolik and later with Tymon Tymański on the soundtrack for Wojciech Smarzowski's film "Wesele", in which he also had a cameo role. He participated in the SI 013 Project, was a member of the band Kobiety, and composed songs for Krzysztof Krawczyk's album "...bo marzę i śnię". Additionally, he worked with Ania Dąbrowska and Maryla Rodowicz.

Lachowicz also composed the music for the film "Oda do radości", which was awarded at the Gdynia Film Festival in 2005.

Currently, Lachowicz performs under the names L.A.S. (Lachowicz Audio System) and Lachowicz and the Pigs. He remains associated with alternative music.
