In a warm green jungle lived a monkey and an elephant.
The monkey was quick and playful. It jumped from branch to branch and moved through the trees with ease. The elephant was large and slow, walking steadily along the forest floor with heavy but careful steps.
Each day, the monkey raced through the jungle, gathering fruit and exploring high places. The elephant traveled long paths, carrying water in its trunk and clearing the way through thick plants.
Though they were very different, the jungle needed both of them.
When the sun was hot, the elephant’s shade cooled the ground below. When fruit grew too high, the monkey reached it easily. When paths became blocked, the elephant pushed them open. When danger came from above, the monkey noticed first.
As seasons passed, the jungle stayed balanced and calm. The monkey learned to slow down. The elephant learned that speed was not always needed. Together, without trying to be the same, they kept the forest safe and full of life.
The jungle grew quieter in the evenings, and the monkey and the elephant rested under the same tall tree.
Different in size, different in speed, but equally important, they belonged together.
