How to keep your record player platter turning at the correct speed

Описание к видео How to keep your record player platter turning at the correct speed

A fully restored record player has just been freshly lubricated, and received a new rubber surface on the idler wheel or and drive turrets.
When your record player is packaged for shipping then rotated upside down, sideways and every which way during the shipping and unpacking process. It is not uncommon that fresh lubrication product to become displaced and in contact with rotating surfaces that should have high friction. These components of the record player are the idler wheel, drive turrets, motor step rotor and the inside edge of the platter rim. This video shows how to remove the platter, clean the high friction surfaces so they are free of lubrication and reinstall the platter. This process give your record player lots of pep and power for a more powerful platter rotation and cycling sequence.
